01618505451 do not answer!

Had three calls from this number, obviously wondered if it was comp related.

A HORRIBLE high pressure woman trying to get sensitive details from me. Really pushy, I've saved the number as a spammer.

Thought this might help someone.

Yucky PPI scam people, I've just searched that number and found this http://whocallsme.com/Phone-Number.aspx/01618505451/38 lots (38 pages) of people being bugged by that number.

    Just found on another forum:
This number originates to 'HYC - Help Your Claim Ltd' in Manchester. They are a mis-sold ppi company. Not a comping site,

I have a dedicated mobile for carp, i only give this number for comping so i know when its been passed on (even though I always tick the NO boxes grrr). If they phone once I always save the number with the name of caller so next time I can see who is calling and not bother to answer!

    Thanks though

  • I am registered with the TPS service and when I get these type of calls (usually PPI related from India) instead of losing my temper and hanging up I tell them that they are acting illegally by ringing me without consent and suggest that they remove my number from their data base. It usually works ! :)

  • I received a call from this company today; a girl with a strong Mancunian accent.

Approximately 4 hours earlier I had placed an order with a Manchester based company.

I rarely order over the web.

I have e-mailed said company and will be looking into this further.

Please note that any individual can re-claim PPI, you do not have to pay a company to carry out this service for you. For further details look at the Citizens Advice website adviceguide.org.uk
  • play them at their own game - if they ring, just keep saying YES to everything they ask - i got 90 seconds out of the last one before he realised - you'd be surprised how long 90 seconds can take! :j

Thanks for the heads up, I rarely enter my landline number for competitions but I've been getting a few phonecalls lately, just registered with the TPS thanks to pompeypaul25
    providing the link

My brother usually answers the phone and proceeds to question the caller about their mothers maiden name, last 4 digits of their card and the street they grew up in! Usually gets them off the phone pretty quickly :D

other numbers from this company are
    01614293340
    07837710992
    07837710962

They have all rang my number over the space of about 4 days and all belong to the same company. I have told them to remove my number and so far so good! I think it came about from a competition entry as that is the only way I give this number to anyone. Hope this helps some people.

PS I did get really excited when I saw the missed calls as I thought I had won something and as it was late at night I googled the numbers
