Can caravan site charge for not using their 'preferred' insurer?

I have a static caravan on an holday park. I have used the insurer they recommend for 3 years.
Today i switched to RSA -as it was £25 cheaper and allowed me to pay monthly..
Now the site want £25 for not using their prefered insurer - Willis.
Is this even legal in this day and age?

Yes - but only if the condition forms part of their T&C's. this is because they will be supposed to check that your policy is in place and valid - something they would not have to do if you paid them the cost directly.
If this is not covered by their T&C's then you can argue they have no right to levy an arbitrary fee.0 -

They say it is in their T&C's - and i have no reason to doubt them.
But i have never paid them directly - i just used the insurer they put me on to.
There is lots of talk of 'kick-backs' on this site. You can only buy caravans from their approved dealers, all work must be carried out by their approved workmen and all gas must be bought from the site office.
So much for the free market lol.0
