Barclays Loan PPI

Hi there
Wondering if anyone can advise. My husband made a claim to Barclays for mis-sold PPI earlier this year. He had a letter fairly quickly to say that we wouldn't be getting a refund - fair enough, tbh the claim was made more in hope than expectation. He then another letter saying the same thing about a month or so later. This was about 4 months ago but last week 3 payments have gone into his account (one a reasonable size, the other 2 for very small amountsand says PPI & INT REFUND) and as yet no paperwork to confirm it's ours.
2 queries really - is it normal for Barclays to pay a claim straight into your account and do they have to give you warning if they have put something in there by accident and want to take it back again?
Obviously we have no intention of keeping something that isn't ours but my husband can't get to the bank to discuss with them until he has time off after new year and he doesn't want that money sitting in his account and would prefer it transferred somewhere else.

He could telephone them, surely he wants it sorted so yu all know whether you can spend it for Christmas or not.make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.0 -
Sounds like Barclays have reviewed your case and decided to uphold the complaint and maybe your husband filled a form in earlier with his bank account details, hence the recent payments. You should have received a letter from the bank about overturning their previous decision, but maybe it's lost in the post. Phone them to clarify the situation, best of luck.0

Yes, I have had the same thing happen to me. A total of 4 refunds from ppi & int refund. And yet no letter to confirm what they are from or anything. I do have claims in process but I find it very odd that such large amounts of cash can be paid into my account with no confirmation that the amounts have been agreed by anyone. Have you heard anything from yours ambersmummy?0

This has also just happened to myself and my wife with Barclays. Did any of you above get to the bottom if this?0

Just to update - a week or so after posting this back in 2012 we got a letter confirming that Barclays had reviewed our claim and we were, in fact, getting some money back. We have just this last week had another payment go in and today have received another letter from Barclays saying that had reviewed it again and they hadn't paid us enough so have paid the money into my husbands account!! Was a very welcome surprise0

Excellent. Thanks for updating me. It looks like good news then! I'll contact Barclays PPI team tomorrow to get clarification.0

Hi
My wife had around 2k put into her Barclay account yesterday.
She did enquire about PPI about 6 months ago via barclays on telephone, she was told if it was many moons ago they would he to look into archive and that was that.
The payee stated in the account is 'PPI & INT REFUND, GLOBAL ISD GLOS S'
Can anyone shed anymore light?
