Just noticed a small problem when i go into start followed by all programs. A number of installed programs are not listed for some reason. I can only access the missing programmes by either using desktop icons or by using my computer and then by selecting the C;Drive.
Also a number of the basic computer functions located within 'All Programs' are missing i.e Accessories which gives access to the Disk Defrag, Disk Cleanup, Restore menu etc.
Any ideas ?
PS I'm using XP.

are you using a seperate login. ie installed the programs on your admin login and now are logged in as guest?0

If they have only recently gone missing you could try 'Restore'.
Unless that option is also missing.
Good luck0 -

I think you're on the right track here as a couple of weeks ago I received a Microsoft Money update which asked me to to switch to admin to enable the download which i did (but not via logging out-it was a right click function in money which isn't there now) and the update was done. Strange thing is I AM admin as I'm the only user.
Also have noticed that if I right click and chose send to all the options have gone !!!!0 -

try going to control panel and user accounts just to check it hasnt set up a non admin account for you.
another thing would be try start, log off or switch user and see if there is anything else listed.
i am running vista so i cannot tell you the actual steps - sorry.
if you are logging in (without you knowing) as a guest that would explain why alot of your programs are missing. some programs ask you when you install them if they are for all users of the machine.0
