Advice needed about new bank account

Hope someone may be able to offer me some advice.
Thank you in advance for any help.

I have been with my bank for over 30 years and today I received the most appalling service from them and I need some advice as to how easy it is to get a new one.

I have a current account and I pay all my bills by DD. I also receive into my account my pensions weekly and monthly.

I would also like an account that allows me to to access it online.

Thank you for taking the time to read this.

You want to leave due to one day of appalling service? Every bank has poor service to some extent.

But if you want the best customer service, then First Direct still comes top, makes switching easy, and give you money for switching.

Halifax gives you £100. And £5 a month if you pay in £1k each month.
Thats' £160 free money in the first year.

Easy online banking, excellent customer service.

Ive never had a problem with them.
make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.

That's what I thought when I read the OP too.

One day of appalling service in 30 years? Sounds pretty good to me.

I have had bad service over the years but decided yesterday's experience was the last straw.

Another vote for First Direct. It always comes first in customer service polls. You wil not be disapointed and they give you money to switch as well!
