Fill your own crackers

  • A funny story...

A few years back, my mother-in-law-to-be found a very expensive diamond bracelet in her cracker. And didn't realise! She thought it was cheap tat!

Turns out, her husband had replaced the cheap toy with the bracelet just for her! Needless to say she was absolutely shocked when he told her what he'd done, a cringe worthy moment and embarrassing, but soooo funny!

So, if you put some high quality items inside, just be careful people don't think they;re the usual cheap rubbish! :)

Similar thing happened when I bought my Dad a new wallet & put a couple of gift cards inside. He thought they were the fake credit cards you sometimes get in wallet packaging & had to retrieve them from the bin when he realised...

It might be easier to buy cheap ready made ones , then change the contents or tart them up

I usually make my own using the kits, but had a lightbulb moment, and bought a box of 12 lovely looking crackers from B and M for £2.99, and I'm just changing the contents.

    Go for it!
