Hello all.
Well after 6 1/2 years we finally received our completion certificates which was very welcome end to the IVA saga. With these in hand I set about signing up to Experian and Equifax to ensure my credit file was up to date, plus see where I am with the credit score just for kicks and giggles;)
Well, Experian was a welcome surprise, all defaults removed, and a score of Fair, which, funny thing was fair enough.
Equifax still had the CCJ showing though, so I phoned them and had it removed from the report. However, it still appears to be showing on their Credit Score page. I know you shouldn't really take much notice of the score, but this appears to be knocking it down to a Fair, (Just) whereas, if it wasn't on there, i am sure it would jump to the Good section.
In essence, we are trying to save for a deposit for a house, hahaha, long hard slog, but hoping this can be sorted before applying for a mortgage, otherwise it will a wasted effort.
Has anyone else had similar experiences?
Thanks

There is usually a lag in Equifax updating things, so should sort itself before too long.
The important thing is that it doesn't show on your main report. That is what lenders checking your file will see. Just the raw info. They won't see Equifax's so called "score" or anything like that. That's for your info only.Free/impartial debt advice: National Debtline | StepChange Debt Charity | Find your local CAB

Thanks Fermi. Thought that may be the case.
Well, get Christmas out of the way and then the long hard slog of saving for the deposit begins. Need to save about 15-17k, sounds like it's going to take forever, never mind, there's always the lottery, hahahahah!!!!!!Debt free Nov 11 :j0
