I'm considering buying some specialist electronics for my hobby from and Italian retailer. Do I have any protection if I use my credit card. For example if it does not arrive? Or arrives damaged?
Thanks in advance.

There are two separate avenues for resolving problems:
1) A voluntary chargeback scheme with (short time limits for claiming). This scheme is NOT law and it depends on your bank's view of the claim.
2) the ability to sue the card company instead of the retailer if the purchase is over £100 and under £30k
Overseas purchases are included.
