Hey guys, just bought a gucci watch off ebay and the seller has only one feedback to his name.

I brought this: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/271112828202?ssPageName=STRK:MEBOFFX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1427.l2649

my question is, if i sent him payment and he doesn't respond, I should 100% get my money back?

thanks!

  • These were probably questions you should've asked before you bought the item.

Paypal offer you protection, and the seller is foolishly only offering standard mail on an expensive item, so if it doesn't arrive you'll be able to claim for your money back.
If you don't pay, you risk a NPB strike.
  • Strangely, that feedback was for the exact same watch.

Could of cancelled the sale for some reason I suppose, then resisted.

To answer your question. You are just as covered for this, as you are for any other sale (Item Not Received/Not As Described).

Also, its a brave seller that would send a Gucci watch by first class post, not something I would do(insurance wise for one thing), but that's up to him I suppose.

Looking at the other item he sold, it seems to be the same watch, or the same photos at least.

Also has sold two brand new size 6 Ugg boots.
I must remember that "Money Saving" is not buying heavily discounted items that I do not need. :hello:
  • Hmm, well I've risked it and sent him the payment.

Hopefully he's the real deal, and so is the watch!

The person leaving feedback on the last watch appears to be happy, and have a good trading history on eBay. But that doesn't always mean much - could be a shill.

Just ensure you go through PayPal, you then have 2 valid methods for dispute should you need it.

    Good luck.

The thing to look for is when it was left. It was left 3 days after the end of the item - so nothing is conclusive here.

  • I sent a message yesterday to the guy who left him the feedback and he said:

DEAR xxxxxx, IVE HAD NO PROBLEMS WITH THE WATCH OR THE SELLER.THE GUCCI WATCH IS VERY GOOD FOR THE PRICE.IVE CHECKED THE SERIAL NUMBERS AND ITS NOT A FAKE.I ALSO PAID FOR THE WATCH BEFORE I RECEIVED THE WATCH. I HOPE THIS CAN HELP YOU. ALL THE BEST SHAUN.

So fingers cross everything will go well. You never know, they could be on it together. Would be hard to prove also.

So he sold a brand new (with no box) Gucci for £120.

How much is one from a high st shop?

If there is a big difference then I would be expecting a fake to turn up.

    A friend of the sellers?

The same seller has sold this watch 5 times.
The seller relisted the first one, buyer & seller left positive feedback for each other.
The chance of this being fake/dodgy are quite high from a newly registered seller with at least 4 Gucci watches to sell.
