Please can anyone give me some info on how I can get Netcast from my LG42LE5900 tv to run through my LG 2:1 surround sound?

According to the tech specs of that TV, you have a Digital Audio Output connector on your TV, this is the best option for you to use. You will need a compatible audio receiver (amplifier).
Does your LG Surround sound have a Digital Audio Input (S/PDIF)? If you could let me know what your audio setup is, perhaps take a photo of the connectors, I'll tell you the easiest method to hook them together.0 -
Thank you I shall post later as I have workmen in doing work at the moment.0

it all depends on the connections
My LG TV has an optical out for the TV sound(from the TVs tuner/netcast)
This feeds into the surround system, and switches when I use netcast0 -
dizzylisa, you've told us the model of your TV, but not your surround system, that would help, but as above, optical digital is a very good way to move sound. Is netcast some kind of 'Smart' internet TV thing LG do?0
