Scottish Power
I shared a flat in Edinburgh until August 2012. I have now received a letter claiming that I owe them over £300 as we had a 'low reading'. Has anyone else experienced these extra charges?
Hi, do you have your readings from when you moved in until you moved out ?
Did you take the final readings or allow/arrange for a meter reader access to your meters ?
Were the readings on the final bill actual readings or estimates ?
If you could give more information someone may be able to give some advice !0 -
A letter with a demand for extra cash isn't good enough - its wording implies that this not a demand for payment of an unpaid Final Bill, but that a later bill ahs been issued on an adjusted reading. You have to ask for a copy of that bill
Other questions arise - What was this flat shared by you and just one other person, was it a multi-let shared house, and were you the named account holder0 -
