in Credit cards
applying for a 0% purchase card but keep getting denied. Tried a credit search site but they couldn't validate my file. One of the reasons suggested was if I had changed name recently. I have got married but only (so far) changed my name with my bank and credit card company. Do I have no chance of being accepted whilst I'm in transition of name changes on so many different things? If this is the reason, what are the main places I need to change my name for my credit file to recognise me?

Your bank and credit card company, but it can take a couple of months for the data to get to the CRAs0

And electoral roll0

You could apply with your previous name if you have a credit history with it.
If you have no previous credit history then it might be difficult to get a 0% card even after your new name has been 'registered'.0 -
The application should let you put in any previous names you've been known by, so then your previous name will be taken into account. Agree that you should change your name on the electoral roll as soon as possible.0
