Littlewoods Account

in Credit cards
I applied for a littlewoods account last night and had a confirmation email saying my application was accepted and my initial credit limit was £500. I ordered some things from them totalling £290 as I have recently moved and needed some essentials. I had an email saying the order was accepted and today when I have logged in it says the items have been dispatched however it is today showing that my credit limit is £0 and that my account is now -£260? Has anyone else experienced this? If so whats it mean? I have tried to call them however after 25 minutes of being on hold waiting for someone I gave up

Just yesterday had a similar situation with Very (Littlewoods). Was told my account had been shut as further security checks had been carried out.
Was told most likely data mismatch as I have last week moved and my bank is still listed at my old address etc etc

My friend applied to them yesterday shes recently moved etc and desperately needed a few things she was told she had £750 but then later that day recieved an email asking her to call some number! To which the lady was no exactly polite etc! But she has now put a stop on the account?? What is the point? If they have a system then why does somebody sitting at a desk decide oh hold on ill just cancel that!0

I applied for a Very account for one particular item last year and found the whole process painless. They gave me a £1k credit limit which was not required and they reduced at my request to £200 to take care of the purchase.
For me it was hassle free and I would give them every recommendation.0 -
I already have 2 SDG accounts, merely because they up their limits fast so hopefully should improve my profile. I actually want a very account but they won't give me one or have taken it away.
Identical items on VERY are somewhat cheaper than on LITTLEWOODS or KANDCO.I have numerous qualifications in Business and Finance, Accountancy, Health and Safety and am now studying Law.

Just to give you an update, I spoke to Littlewoods this morning and they said that the can not offer me credit due to something that has shown on my credit file however they won't tell me what it is. I have a feeling it might be to do with two defaults that are on there however I explained to the lady that these have now been settled and that I am waiting for my file to update to reflect this and offered to send in the letters of the company stating that they were now at a zero balance but she said that would not be accepted, so got to wait till the 17th Dec for Lowell to update Equifax to say the two bad debts are at zero.
If you are not very careful, your possessions will possess you!

I wouldn't just presume that once your credit file has been updated you will automatically get a Very account. Defaults stay on your credit file for 6 years from the date they are settled. Newly settled defaults will still affect your credit file significantly unfortunately. I'd wait a year then re-apply.0
