Do I pay for repair or claim on car insurance

When I returned to my car after finishing work to go home there was a taxi parked directly in front of other cars parked on the opposite side of the car park which lead to me having less space to me to manouvre out of the parking space. Whilst trying to get out of the space and trying to avoid the taxi I accidentally scrapped another cars front bumper that was parked in a space next to me. after to speaking to the owner of the car i had hit I was going to pay for the damage outwith my car insurance put the quote came back £234 I am fully comp have full no claims which is protected my car is fine a small scuff so doesn't need fixed I have been told to claim on car insurance as there will be no excess as my car isnt getting repaired so
do I claim on my insurance or pay for the repair myself?
Will I have a claim against the taxi?
