If someone has bought a property for sya £230k recently then does it up and sells for £300k would the fact that they bought it for £230 a couple of months back put you off?? I doubt it. A house sells if someone wants it and they feel that the price is right. It is irrelevent what someone else has paid for it regardless of how long ago that was.
A house is worth what someone is prepared to pay for it not what someone had already paid for it.0 -
Yes, it is useful, as it tells us you're not telling us something. My house has 5 bedrooms, 1 shower room&toilet, and 1 bathroom&toilet upstairs
A very large kitchen diner, 3 sitting rooms, and a cloakroom & toilet downstairs.
There is no way in this world that it would be of any benefit to anyone to know how much it cost.
It would probably break their heart to hear i paid £4500 for it and no i didn't leave out any zeros.
That said i think it is a good idea to find out what a similar property in the same area went for as recently as possible.
It also tells someone checking Land Regsitry.
