But you are already part of the Swiss Bank 'rotten system' as you have an account there, which you presumably chose to open.
Or are you saying it wasn't a 'rotten system' when you opened the account, but becomes a 'rotten system' on 31 December when the taxman gets to see it, so you have to close the account by that date even if it means you lose the $5k?
