Lost mobile and Incorrect phone insurance

Ive just lost my phone which is a samsung galaxy s2. I have had insurance with policy admin services for about 3-4 years. I recently phoned them to make sure my insurance was in place and they told me that my insurance was for a blackberry curve 8520.
I got rid of this phone a year ago.
Would it be terrible of me to change the phone to my new one and then claim for it being lost or would this be fraud? I feel this would though be justified as i have been paying for phone insurance for such a long time without claiming. Also they said that changing the policy to the new phone would not cost me any extra so it not like im massively putting them out of pocket.
Any advice would be most welcomed.

Ignoring all the moral implications, it's fairly easy for the network to check when the IMEI number was last used so it's unlikely to be successful.0

Arrr i see. Well i lost the phone at the weekend so that shouldn't be a problem. I suppose what im most worried about is that is it fraud?0

and will they allow it?0

The only way is to try. And if they catch you, they report to the Hunter Database which will block you from any insurance due to the fraud lag. It's not really worth the risk.0

And how do you think you are going to get away with that? you have already called them and been told you are not insured, this will possibly be recorded.Be Alert..........Britain needs lerts.0
