In internet options set the homepage to https://www.google.co.uk

Bing is apparently the next biggest thing in search engines at it optimises search's and bring back results more for human relevance rather than bots.
Like above, Go into you Internet Options and change the homepage to google.Better to understand a little than to misunderstand a lot.0 -
Find the search box in the upper right-hand side of your browser.
Click the down arrow next to the magnifying glass icon.
Select Manage Search Providers.
Select Google, click Set as default, then click Close.0 -
IE10 running in Windows 8 Metro interface has Bing all over it and very difficult to get rid of. IE10 on the more familiar desktop gives more say over what it does though.
I soon installed Chrome on that one!
