Candy freezer problem.

I defrosted my Candy undercounter integrated freezer by turning the thermostat to 0 but it would not turn back on after the thermostat was turned back up .
I checked the fuse board and that's OK. I can't get at the plug as I can't shift the thing.
There are no lights coming on at all.
Any idea what it could be?
Just looking at the Candy site one of their engineers costs £120 + for a call out - parts free.
Would you be tempted to cut your losses and get a new one? (that's if I can find something to fit the space
