Credit card OFT recommended charge?

It seems as though some credit card companies are offering the difference between the £12 OFT recommended charge and their higher charge applied by them to the customer.
My question is for those that have successfully claimed from these companies:
Did you settle for the difference between £12 and the original charge or did you go all the way and reclaim the full charge back?

It's NOT a recomended charge. It's just threshold at which the OFT would
act. Unfortunately the Office of Futile Twits entitled their ruling 'calculating fair defualt charges in credit card contracts'' when it was nothing of the sort. People like yourself not unreasonably marry that with the twelve quid figure and think thats what it is.
The lawful charge is what it would cost to administer the defualt - about
50p in my opinion. Just go ahead a claim the lot0 -
You will more than likely have to file a claim to get the full amount back though won't you, as the cc companies offer the difference pretty quickly, saying "In full & final settlement"0

We claimed from Capital One, they settled the full amount after first saying they couldn't refund anything and then getting cold feet after we filed the claim. Btw, a judge recently said he would think £2.50 to be a reasonable charge. Unfortunately, this was a small court judge so could not set a precedence.Reclaimed thanks to this site:
