Getting anxious about INR

Hi, a bit complex but:
Won an item worth £25 on 6th Nov, paid immediately
Item marked as dispatched on 12th Nov
Item not received by 20th Nov so I sent a polite message.
Seller got back to me the next day saying he posted three items together and the PO lady put the wrong postage stickers on each of the parcels and they got sent back to the PO. He told me he would have to re-pack then send them again.
Seller assured me he resent on the 22nd Nov but as yet no sign.
I paid £6 for p&p which was supposed to be Recorded Delivery.
I fear I am being strung along, or just very unlucky. Should I contact seller again or wait a while longer?
Thanks in advance

I must remember that "Money Saving" is not buying heavily discounted items that I do not need. :hello:

If there had been a problem with the address, the package(s) would have gone back to the seller - not the post office.
If there had been a problem with the amount of postage (too little), the buyer would have been asked to pay the difference (plus £1 fee) upon receipt.
Unless the seller used the PO as their return address, it makes little sense that the package(s) would be returned to the PO.
In short, yes, it sounds like you are being strung along. However, I think you have 45 days to make a Paypal claim, so if you really want the item, or you got it at a bargain price, you have another month to give the seller another chance to get it to you."The secret of life is honesty and fair dealing.

I think you are right to suspect you are being strung along.
I can't really imagine that the Royal Mail would send parcels back to the PO ifthey were stamped incorrectly. Even if that did happen, it seems a bit far fetched that the parcels would then go back to the seller for repacking
If I was in your position, I'd open the INR case right away!Early retired - 18th December 2014

I would also advise opening an INR now - it has happened to me before now (on Play, rather than eBay) that if the seller was just hoping not to send the item or hadn't got round to it and risked losing the money, that they might actually send it out as promised a week ago.
At least that way you would actually get it."Well, it's election year, Bill, we'd rather people didn't exercise common sense..." - Jed Bartlet, The West Wing, season 4
