I have a heavy table and the metal nail socket which is fitted on the wodden stands has come off. Would there be a glue which would stick those permanently?

Your pic doesn't work for me.
I've inserted it again for you.
An epoxy resin would work for this. It a 2-part thing you mix together. Bonds metal and wood strongly.
Not sure about specific makes though.Herman - MP for all!0 -
