little black jumpy insects

theres loads never seen them before and they jump

any1 know what these could be,there everywhere :mad:,in the soil ,jumping all over my plants
saving 50p a day

    Fleas maybe? Thats the only thing I can think of off the top of my head. Do you have any pets or any one elses animals that have been there recently?

    Do they seem worse after watering, and are they coming out of the compost? if so sounds like sciarid flies.

    Flea beatles? They jump, and I've seen some round my garden plants.

    Sound like flea beetles. They like oil seed rape, which is in flower atm.

    I once picked some bluebells from the garden and put them in a vase on the dinner table. When we came to eat there were flea beetles crawling all over the table :eek: :eek:

    there not fleas,(from pets)

    there 2 big,they look like a beatle,but smaller

    i,ll see if i can get a pic put up

    Flea beetles are beetles, not the same as fleas you get from pets. They look like small black beetles, but they jump. They eat your plants, not dogs/cats/people.

    just took pictures,they not showing up on camers,to small

    they are under the dirt,when i sweap my hand through the dirt they start jumping ,then go back under dirt

    they have more than 4 legs,flat like bodies
    saving 50p a day

    i looked at your link,there not like the ones in the link

    the ones in my garden ,remind me of silver fish,but these are black

    i dont have any vegetables ,just flowers and evergreen plants and roses
    saving 50p a day
