Hey all,
Just wanted to grab some opinions from you other tech's....
I'm just ordering a few HDD's now, I want to know what you lot would buy, yes.. its a matter of pref to a certain extent, but would like to know what is used mostly...and whats popular..
#1 Choice for me is Seagate - 5 Year Warranty - Had 1 drive go
#2 Samsung - 3 Yr Warranty does well in reviews
#3 Maxtor.... seems ok i guess (no 1 year warranty jobbies)
#4 Western Digital... used them a long time ago 2001 (crap, maybe ok now?))
I will not touch the IBM/HGST range as the Deathstar range has cost me before!!
So what would you buy and why? Plus any good deals???
I can buy from Scan/eBuyer (free shipping - Scan/£10 Google Checkout -eBuyer)
If any place else has an even better deal then Scan/eBuyer then feel free to suggest that too
Min: 250GB - 320GB ++ must have 16MB Cache and must be SATA II
Lower Seek time 8-10ms i think... seen some at around 11-12:eek:
Thanks!

Personally I'd agree with your list but put WD above Maxtor, just personal experience I suppose. To be honest I generally find HDDs are similar prices everywhere and if you can get a tenner off by going through google checkout I'd use ebuyer. It's always worth checking Scan though in case they have them on 'today only' at a particularly good price. It's my problem, it's my problem
If I feel the need to hide
And it's my problem if I have no friends
And feel I want to die0
