tenancy, bills question

I rented a flat for two months in the past quite a long time ago.

I did not know back then that it was my responsibility to sign up for utility bills and council tax so it was my landlord who did it.

I received a few bills later to my new addresses for electricity but those bills were for a different date, not the one I lived there but my name was on it. I ignored those letters.

A few weeks ago I realized that I needed to do something about it so I called the company and asked them what's up. They said that I no longer owe them anything and it's all fine.

That's ok.

Regarding the council tax: I called up the city council and payed for those 2 months because they said that I was registered for that period.

I am unable to contact my landlord via phone and I've lost my STA.

My question: How can I know if I was not registered for other utility suppliers?

I did not give proper notice to my landlord about my departure, it was a late notice. So in theory she could make me responsible to pay forever basically, if we take the tenancy agreement, however when I called the city council I was registered there for only the time I actually lived there so it makes me think that everything is fine.

My best idea is to get a credit report and see if I'm ok at the moment.
