bootcd/flash requires no password!!

OK but I'm struggling to find the actual download link, which they appear to have made as difficult as possible to reach (also I won't join Facebook just to download software.) Is it Sardu 2.0.6.1 at the foot of this page http://www.sarducd.it/downloads.html ?bootcd/flash requires no password0 -
http://sarducd.it/downloads/SARDU_2.0.6.1.zip
or if you have a cd drive, there is a link in the other thread to a rescue disk!!

In the Sardu instruction manual it says If you want to make a multi boot USB, after conneting the media, you have to press the button "Search usb". Will look for all devices with FAT32. But how do you get to that screen shown there? I have extracted the files from the red icon for the multiboot tool.0

run the exe.!!

I only have Ubuntu ATM but will do that when I can get back to the library.run the exe.
When this utility recovers the Windows files, will it distinguish between those that came with the Eee from those I have added? I'm not sure I have enough SD card capacity to store all the factory-installed data as well.0 -
not clear where you are coming from, or what you have got.
if you have ubuntu, you can recover files using that.
how are you posting now, what machines have you got available, what cd drives, what backup means?
what data do you want to recover?
all any boot disc is going to achieve, is to mount your windows partition, so you can copy your files somewhere, but somewhere has to be big enough for what you want to copy. usb backup drives are cheap.!!

In #4 I said Ubuntu was running fine but with the restriction outlined in the last sentence of #1.
This weekend, I only have available a second-hand tower I bought with XP SP1, but the product key sticker doesn't match the OS, so I can't add SP2. (It has CD drive and USB 2.0 though)
I just need to recover my files before restoring XP, but can't access them as Ubuntu guests can't mount them.
AFAIK Linux can't open .exe files, so presumed I would be building this USB utility with XP at the library.0 -
does the netbook have a cd drive available, how did you get ubuntu on there
you can create all the recovery media with the xp machine, regardless of sp version!!

Netbooks don't have CD drives, unless you meant a caddy (don't have one).
Think I used Xboot to put Linux on via USB, but that stick is all wiped now. I have new CDRs available, and enough spare HDD space on the tower to store all the Eee's data. Also have male USB to female USB cable.0
