Just a quick check in, gonna catch up properly tomorrow. Back from my works Xmas dinner which was free. Walked down from work and just had two glasses of free wine which was enough (what a light weight I am now
). Plus my boss gave me a lift home so I didn't spend a penny

Well i spent tonight as planned although less than i thought. i spent £3.75 on a wine, £1 of a lottery pool and £1.50 on garlic chips. I did get several drinks bought for me though and i am rather squiffy.
I wish i have been eating special k, that actually tastes nice. i've been eating some kind of bran flakes with a foul cranberry muesli from mt t, actually a little bit rank. id rather eat newspaper.
I did also 'cash' in my free choc wrapper. and won again. thats the weekend treat sorted. so total spend for the month = £7.25

Ooh, garlic chips :heart2: I'm actually getting hungry - I'm still typing my mystery shopping reports (and still got loads left to do) and a plate of garlic chips would be fab right now0 -
Hi everybody,
I was so inspired by Mancman and BigMumma that today I went to the supermarket and bought a pack of goodies to donate to the food bank. I thought I'd better do it now and not keep putting it off, so that's my 'paying it forward' bit done.
So I didn't have a NSD day today, and I've also got a small spend to report, the stats are as follows:-
Food 11.65 / 50.00 (for 2 people)
Petrol 29.66 /105.00 (2 vehicles)
Christmas Food 30.00
Christmas presents 50.00
Unplanned spends 6.66
NSD 4 / 20
SD 3 / 11

Hi everyone
Quick round up for the rest of the week.
Wednesday was a NSD! Yes!
Thursday was not as I finished off some Xmas shopping. But nice gifts bought for DDs and OH so that's done. I was going to go to Poundland for a fe bits for stockings but I may now not even do that. Am going to review what I already have and see if it will stretch once I load up with small sweets, nuts and fruit. I also bought a Big Issue and gave the guy an extra £1 as a bit of charitable giving.
I also went out for Xmas lunch.. £17 spent yesterday but as that was lunch, alcohol and bus I didn't think that was bad. I then had pizza for DDs in local pub for £19. So broke the no eating out rule....sorry Kat but we did try to be MSE! Definitely scaling back from where I usually would be.
I also resisted buying a present that I know DD2 really wants..as I know that one, we dont need to to buy it, but two, that I will end up buying a present for her sister to 'balance' it up. Instead she will get it for her birthday later on, well into next year.
Today I make some PADs, sort out some items for ebay for next year and I have a long scheduled haircut. Badly needed as look like a badger:eek: but think that there is no need for any other spends...will let you know how I get on.
Have a great weekend DDD girls and boys!

Morning:)
Well done to everyone who has donated to homeless/food bank. Must get a wiggle on with that myself!
Kat the essay is almost finished! Just 50 words to cut and reference list to do. Did want it done by end of yesterday but there was just no time!
Ds3 and dd had a lovely time at the disco last night, and I got a chance to catch up with some mums that I rarely get to see:) (ds3 goes to school on transport bus so I don't often get to go into the school). Made a new friend with a mum who's son only started in September in the same class as ds3. Kids got free food and cake which was good:)
If its quiet enough here today I will finish the essay, if not it can wait until Monday morning. Ds1 here overnight:T love having him to stay, so shall cook something yum for dinner. Tomorrow is the Xmas party of the special needs group my son goes to....more free food so won't have to do tea for myself dd or ds3:)
Will be going through the fridge today and updating my fresh and fridge list to see what needs using up for lunch.
Have a lovely weekend everyone xxNovember NSD's - 70 -
Morning all
Good luck with the essay JAMIE, its always good to get them finished isnt it
Kat, hope you are having fun on your weekend away, and i hope your bike is OK?
Brizzle, i dont know what your local poundland is like, but the one in Plymouth is ALWAYS jam packed full of people and you have to queue for about 10mins! I need to get some bits and bobs from there, i might do that next week.
Yesterday i bought some steak from Lidl (was on a deal for £3.59, still very expensive for me) and i plan on making pasties later with it. HELP PLEASE- do i need to cook the steak before i put it in the pasties, or can i put in raw??
I have bought a few raffle tickets from various places in the local town, 1 from the local spar shop and 1 from the Lions Club. The Lions club hamper prize is HUGE and has loads of alcohol that i could sell on, as i am not a big drinker, but it also has runner up orizes. The spar shop one is a big food hamper, so i thought i may as well try itNot holding my breath as i never win anything!
Having a few probs with my 12 year old recently- anyone with teensagers...how did you cope with the attitude? Any tips?0 -

It looks like you put it in raw.
Re your teen with attitude, erm, explain there will be consequences for rude behaviour, make sure there are and be consistent. Taking mobiles away seems to be effective!
Also good luck 12 is just the beginning:D

Thanks Triker, i'll make some pasties later
re the teen thing- its just been getting worse and worse, and nothing seems to make a difference! He switches from being my lovely little boy, to a monster with a monster attitude to boot, in seconds! He'll be 13 in January, and i've heard it only gets worse.
I love him to bits, but cant say that i like him very much at the moment0
