Argos Store Card

Hi guys,

I have the above - can you buy something in-store over the counter and take advantage of the buy now, pay in 6 months deal or is it only online purchases?

Do they ask you at the till basically when you hand over their store card?

yes they do, I normally ask to have it put on the longest possible buy now play later.
It can vary from 3 mths to 6 to 9 mths, depending on the amount you spend. think they may do a year as well.

Just make sure you do pay it before the due date, other wise they add interest from the date of purchase. Doesn't matter if you've cleared most of it, the interest is charged on the WHOLE amount from due date.

Works well so long as you pay by the due date

BUT be careful not to put it onto a pay montly one. On this scheme you pay interest and the actual amount paid is much more than the cost of the item. Works more like a catalogue.

Yeah they usually ask you at the till. It sometimes is better to use one of the instore kiosks as iirc it does it automatically.

Thanks, I had a new mattress earlier in the year but that was online. It's all paid off now but I was going to get something directly from the store this time.

Just for info and while not earth-shattering, I used to kiosk and it never gave me a choice of what credit deal I wanted, it just automatically put me on buy now, pay in six months.

    Hello,

Sorry, little further information required from your goodselves.

Bought something two weeks ago its on BNPL deal for 6 months.

If I buy something else in the coming weeks, which only qualifies for a BNPL of 3 months, does it automatically end my 6 month purchase agreement and then both of them have to be cleared in 3 months or will they act independently from each other?

Tried looking on their website but cannot find an answer.

    Thank you.

They act independently from each other and are listed in what becomes interest bearing soonest on your statement.
Any payments you make to your account are then allocated in this order.
