Christmas Hamper Type Thing

I'm not really sure this counts as a hamper, but I shall call it that anyway! I posted the other day about being stuck for ideas for my parents, but I've decided to just get them lots of little bits. They don't buy each other Christmas presents, so I think they like it when they have lots of things to open on Christmas Day lol.

The plan is for each gift to have a sort of theme, so they'll all be labelled. I'm making no sense, so I'll give you some examples:

To indulge - chocolates
To keep warm - hat/gloves
To unwind - bubble bath and candles (perhaps not for my dad!)
To laugh - stand up DVD/comedy film
To be merry - alcohol

Does anyone have any suggestions they could add to the list? Even if it's just an idea for a 'To...' without an idea of a gift that could go with it :)

I'm probably looking to spend around £50 on each of them, maybe a little more if I decide to stick in some gift vouchers for something. So cheaper and more expensive suggestions are welcome! Ideally it'll end up being a mixture of some gifts that would be decent standalone gifts, as well as some little novelty ones just for fun.

Thanks!

to have a night off......pizza or takeaway voucher (im putting this in my parents hamper)
to create your own - hot chocolate jar (with the powder, mallows, chocolate)
to keep track - a diary or calender (even better if you can get a personalised one)
Life is what you make it.

Thanks again for all your suggestions :) I just want to share with you my (almost) final list:

    For Mum...
    ...to indulge - chocolate pizza
...to be perfectly polished - nail polishes, file and a few nail art bits
    ...to escape - Kindle voucher
...to unwind - Lush bath ballistic
...to fight the cold - Lush body butter
...to get merry - three miniatures
    ...to keep snug - slippers
...to survive the sales - gift voucher, shopping bag, water and mars bar

    For Dad...
    ...to indulge - chocolate pizza
...to keep warm - Swansea FC hat
...to survive Christmas dinner - Gaviscon
...to escape - either a book or a Kindle voucher (depending on whether my Mum decides to get him a Kindle or not!)
...to get merry - three miniatures
...to play - Spitfire model to make
...to treat everyone else (slightly cheeky...) - biscuit shaper
    ...to energise - coffee
...to keep track - desk calendar with pictures of where they live

    For them both...
...to cherish - snow globe with pictures of our dog in (I couldn't find any baubles that didn't have 'baby's first christmas' written on them!)
...to laugh - Michael McIntyre DVD
...to have a night off - voucher for us all to go for tea in the local pub

And possibly, contributed by my sister
...to treasure - a drawing/painting done by her
...to share - some sort of baked good

What do you all think? I'm a little worried that my Dad's share is lacking a little...The plan was for his sort of main gift to be a model bus, but he's now decided that he doesn't want any! I've still got a few quid I can spend on him if I think of anything else.
  • Aww Thats a great idea! Really thoughtful too! I think your Mum and Dad will love it :) xx
  • It all looks good to me- I don't think that your Dad is being short changed :xmastree:
