Question about my completion statement!

Hi all
Before I clarify matters with my conveyancer I'd appreciate your help with a question I have!
I've received my completion statement and I've been charged £6 for EID Fee plus VAT.
I've googled and EID is
"EID" stands for Exempt Information Document. This means a document containing commercially sensitive information or sensitive private information. The exact definitions are: commercially sensitive information: information the disclosure of which would be likely to prejudice somebody's commercial interests (that "somebody" will usually be a party to the document - but doesn't have to be); or sensitive private information: information that relates to an individual and, if disclosed to other persons, would be likely to cause substantial unwarranted damage or substantial unwarranted distress to that individual or another person. An EID application can be made when first lodging a document at the Land Registry, or at any time after that. The applicant will need to supply a complete copy of the document; an expurgated copy with the sensitive information omitted; a form "EX1" which is the official application for EID treatment; and a second form called an "EX1A" explaining why the relevant parts of the document are sensitive.
My sale/purchase is a part exchange with a developer, I don't see what is sensitive about this transaction. Is this a genuine charge or have my conveyancers made an error?

It's more likely to stand for electronic ID. Did you provide original passport etc? It should be mentioned somewhere in the paperwork sent to you at the start.0

I was expecting an ID search fee but one hasn't been listed. I got my passport and a statement certified. The 'EID' fee has been placed along side the fee they are charging for dealing with SDLT which is why I figured it was the above rather than identity related although I agree Electronic ID does make sense. Thanks!0

I had this as I didn't take in my passport. It was an ID check.0
