For the other responders, the course is a 4 day City & Guilds 2382 course, available at many local colleges. It involves 3 days learning and an open book exam. It will compliment their already gained qualifications and in theory give hem a significantly better chance of securing work.

    This one?

    Yes, thats the one.
To have integrity means that you don't agree with everyone you meet, nor do you succumb to pressure to be something that is in direct conflict with your core ethics.

I'll check the database later (can't access via a mobile phone) re ESA - are you in wrag or support group as this impacts the funding
  • Ahh the ubiquitious friend eh ?

Certainly if your friend is on JSA and not on WP then he / she can apply for LVP - Low Value Procurement.

Course has to be short / sharp / intensive - the longer the course is the more likely it is that it will not be agreed - 1 day, 1 week yes -6 mths duration almost certainly not.
It will have to be linked to existing skills / quals - not applicable for 'retraining'.

Just needs to provide the basic info - name of course, example training provider and location and contact details, cost etc.

JCP staff complete form, has to be agreed by JCP Mgr and then up to another Procurement Dept where, I think, bid is put out to tender.
Not a quick process - turnaround about 6 weeks min

I am seriously interested in a LVP application for myself and my wife. We have been out of work for almost a yr now.

Only I am signing on, my wife doesnt need to every 2 weeks but will she be able to apply for a training course?

Any tips for getting it passed?
