Ok so I bought a pair of Ugg boots on a buy it now nearly a week ago. Before the backlash begins I KNOW that many are fakes but I have done my research and if they arrived and I was unsure I would send them back as item not described.
I emailed to ask when he was dispatching (6-8 working days in listing so still within his limits) and he said today!!
I go online to check if he has clicked dispatched - he hasn`t!! BUT 2 hours ago I notice he has the exact same boot, but in a different size and he has used the exact same picture of my boots.
Am i being paranoid?? What do you suggest I do? Should i just wait to see if mine come or do i email and ask something like "i notice you are selling another pair of boots in a different size but you are using the same photo as mine can you guarantee the boots i will receive will be the boots in the picture on the listing.
I dont want to annoy him and him send me a brick through the post:mad:

give if a little time and wait for item to arrive. Many sellers sell the same item as duplicates and in different sizes and use the same pic. I have. Don't bother emailing.0 -
If i have new items I very often use the same photo- no need to change it for every listing.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. He is probably just selling several of the same item so just using the same item.
Just wait and see if they arrive and are OK. If not OK just contact the seller.
If you dont get a suitable response raise a case against the seller.

I've got some old cameras to sell, 2 of each because the wife and I always get the same one when we upgrade. I suppose I'm trying to put your mind at rest that it's possible he really does have two or more pairs to sell. I'll be using different photos though as the cameras are used.
I think it might be a bit early to worry.0 -
Ok thanks for the replys - I wouldn`t be so paranoid but the item is for expensive Ugg boots.
I will just wait then....2013 Sealed Pot Challenge Member #1960

If it is a genuine business seller then i wouldn't worry, if it is a private seller with a story about not wanting them (etc) then I would just assume they are fakes anyway.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. Private seller - and no story just plain brand new in box!!
Didn`t think much of it until i saw him selling this second pair using the same photo.
His previous feedback didnt suggest that he sold clothes etc as a habit, so i thought it was genuine unwanted item.
just have to wait and see i guess?2013 Sealed Pot Challenge Member #1960

All you can do is wait and see. Unfortunately I don't buy new items from private sellers anymore- I have seen them all on facebook with piles of their fake Uggs and boasting that they can get twice as much if they sell them sneakily on ebay
If as I suspect they turn up and are fakes do come back and get advice about the best way of dealing with it at as less cost as possible to yourself.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. The delay in postage would be worrying me.
If no joy by the end of the week I would consider emailing again and then opening a dispute if nothing arrived.
Normally if I don't receive something a week or so after purchase I email politely and ask whether they got my payment OK and when they posted. The reply is usually something like 'Posted them yesterday' or 'Oops, sorry, forgot, will post them today'. The worst I've had is someone just stonewalling me but the item turned up the following week.
It really just depends how long you are prepared to wait, although obviously don't let them drag it out for 45 days (roughly six weeks) beyond purchase as then you can't open a dispute."Well, it's election year, Bill, we'd rather people didn't exercise common sense..." - Jed Bartlet, The West Wing, season 4
