You said the estate agent broker sold it to you though. In which case the estate agent broker has liaiblity. Not NRAM/B&B.

  • I know what u are saying, but how does that explain the offer letter I've received in relation to this? From nram? (Even though apparently there is no record of such a letter or decision according to them?)
So basically I need to contact the estate agents financial advisor to put a case against them?

A mistake by NRAM? We have seen a number of mistakes by them posted on this forum over the last year. A frequent one being that they consider the complaint and look into it where the broker sold it and then at the end give people the wrong message back (cant find it, refer it to insurer etc etc). I wouldnt count on anything until you have the money in your account. How NRAM will pay it when they legally have no right of access to the information about the policy as that would be a data protection breach, is anyones guess.

Yes. Assuming the purchase was after January 2005.

I have started surfing around this site more and more and found this thread.... I remember having a loan with Northern Rock a while ago, I have no paper work or any idea of start date or loan amount. Should I ask for a SAR from them or just phone them straight away?.
    Thanks.
