Hi,
I have received a parking ticket from Car parking partnership for not displaying a permit at Ealing hospital. I had a paper permit but it had fallen off dash as I got out of the car. Do I need to pay this ticket.
Thanks

No. You had a permit, you were allowed to park.0

And completely ignore everything they send you from now on.
As long as it wasnt a council ticket, then just ignore.make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.0 -

Ignore all that follows ..i.e threatening but actually meaningless letters.
They have no loss from any perceived breach of terms and conditions and it certainly is not a trespass ..so they have no cause of action for a court claim even though they will probably threaten it .
Ignore all the way.0 -

Have to let you know that there is an appeal option, if you are up for it. But you do need to KNOW that under no circumstances do you have to pay this fake PCN.
Also if you do ignore it, be aware that the letters they send you are among the worst in terms of threats, from PS&P who pretend in letters that they are going to call round (they can't do anything but people don't know the difference between them and bailiffs).
Personally I would appeal it - because I don't read it that you will deal easily with the PS&P letters - but DO NOT SAY that the permit had slipped, say:
''I can't understand why I got this ticket as I had a permit on display, here's a copy of it, please cancel the ticket. You employee must have made a mistake and I will not be paying. In addition, the Hospital made no loss and you do not own the land, nor did I enter into any contract with you as I already had express permission to park.
If you do not cancel the ticket then I will be taking the appeal further to the POPLA procedure. Send me a Verification Code to proceed with that stage.
If you continue to write to me and especially if you use the PS&P letters that have already been reported as unlawful to the Office of Fair Trading then I will report your firm to the BPA and the DVLA. I trust I make myself clear as your online reputation and that of your agents, PS&P, is scandalous, so I will have no hesitation in reporting you to the appropriate bodies, including the Hospital.''PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
