I thought I may be able to give a bit of info about this sort of situation.

When properties or large complexes etc are built the builders will have an account with an energy supplier.

When the properties are finished and someone moves in, the builder or the new owner will contact the supplier to take that specific address off the builders account and a new account will be set up for the owner.

We would normally be given the name, dates and meter readings from the date the new owner took responsibility of the property.

This is how we can then bill you accurately, you can then look at tariff's, payment methods etc or look to change supplier.

Have you got your own account set up now? And have you been providing your readings and looked at tariff's etc?

If so, then you can ask for your usage and pop this in to a comparison site to see what would be best for you.

If not, you will need to contact us to get your account set up.
