Any news on the Times Hourlies from the weekend?

Just wondered whether anyone had heard from The Times - There seemed to be three hourlies running over Sat/Sun

£250 Amazon Vouchers
£200 John Lewis Vouchers
Kindle Fire

I think I got at least 10/12 of the entries to each - and now I'm just waiting to see whether people start posting their wins in here.

Anyone?

  • I posted on the Amazon thread yesterday that they were quick off the mark informing the £250 Amazon winners as I read on another site of someone who got a WEM yesterday morning.

Nope nothing here but I believe they contacted winners yesterday so guess that's me out again :(
  • I can't believe that NOONE from MSE won though, have they drawn all three of the competitions?

I think I missed a couple of John Lewis (hadn't realised that one was running) and the first one of the Fire giveway - not heard anything here either :(

  • Well I've tweeted and e-mailed them to see whether they've drawn all the winners, as it seems bizarre that if there are 36 winners, not ONE of them would be from here.

I'm sure there were thousands and thousands of entrants for each of the 3 Times comps over the weekend, plus not everyone who uses MSE for comping has an account, signs in or lets us know about wins.

The Times sells around 400,000 copies a day and while not everyone will enter their comps, even if only 5% did that would be 20,000 entries - and that's not counting people who find them from this site and other comping sites.

We tend to have at least one winner from Times comps, but there's nothing to say that we'll always have one. And looking at the figures above, it's probably a near-miracle that we have any at all!
  • ....Good point :o
