Sugar soap - Homemade?

Hi guys.
I'm currently doing a deep clean of the house in prep for the christmas festivities. I like it super clean before I put any decorations up.

OH smokes in livingroom (windows open) once DS goes to bed, and it's showing on the walls now.

Can you make your own sugar soap, or am i best waiting until I can get to a store to buy some?
I have gave them a washdown with a very diluted bleach/water solution but it's still grubby.

Yes you can make your own using sugar and washing up liquid. But its hardly an expensive commodity so I don't really see the point.

Sugar soap contains Trisodium phosphate or Sodium sesquicarbonate which have strong degreasing and cleaning properties. You could maybe try soda crystals Sodium carbonate as a less effective alternative.
Sugar soap is cheap to buy, eg. : http://www.screwfix.com/p/no-nonsense-sugar-soap-powder-430g/21982 so best to get the real stuff.
You could try a kitchen cleaner eg. Mr. Muscle etc. if you want to try something from under the sink, most are quite good at degreasing and cleaning.

Nice sentiment, but you're never going to get it spotless unless you put your OH outside when he smokes.

If you don't smoke it might benefit you too
