Thanks Kingstreet, as mentioned, its not about the money but tbh i dont really know what other avenue there is to go down. You pay for a service and the least you can expect is that service is done to something like an acceptable standard. Nothing new has come up, they are all the original forms and they have admitted themselves that the errors were theirs. Anyway, what will be will be so we'll leave it there. Thanks for your help

A mortgage that was due to complete on 2nd November is still not complete due entirely to the incompetence and failings of the solicitor.

Completion dates are rarely set in stone. Often suggested by the client. To which the solicitor says should be achievable. However is always subject to.

So there have been no delays in dealing with the lenders solicitors or other party (or their solicitors) ?

There's often delays where 2 sets of solicitors are involved. As in effect duplication of work.
  • No single Documents received from solicitor after completion 3 months

Go into the House Buying Selling & Renting Forum and click on the "New Thread" button in the nine o'clock position on your screen.

Set out clearly what you wish to say and punctuate it properly.

TBH what you've posted here doesn't make a lot of sense, so you may need to order your ideas a little first.

All the documents are held with him? What documents?

    Excess deposit? Please explain.

Include explanations of the above in your new thread over there.
