what can I do regards this?
I listed o2 as one of my debts on my bankrupcy stuff back in march, I rang o2before being made BR to inform them & they advised me to call in woth court details etc on day, I rang an hour after BR to be told i'd need to send copies of details in the post now instead..I sent copies of bankrupcy notice OR office stuff etc & since then received over a dozen calls & letters stating I owe them £20.10p, I contacted the OR to tell them & heard nothing since...till today letter came from debt collection agency stating unless I pay they'll take action, rang o2 who kept me on hold forever & they now state they never received letters from me even though royal mail say they did & signed they are arguing the sig as I requested copies from RM & wel in the end they asked me to send copies of all BR paperwork AGAIN..I explained that I didnt have great mobility & would have to reply on my wife to take me etc to which they answered "tough" at the end of the day you owe us money & we want it back!
I know this shouldn't be getting to me but sat here in tears this morning it's left me feeling pretty low feeling so frustrated.

Hey Philnicandamy,
Shame on O2! I think you have done more than enough, and been more than fair with O2. Yesterday I had a call from HSBC saying my account was overdrawn, and could I please pay some money in. I explained that I had gone BR, and that I had called them about it a couple of weeks ago. They admitted there were details of it on my record, but still asked for the details all over again. Then he said (and I almost laughed) 'Can you please pay some money into the account while we wait to hear from the OR?' I explained that that was a legal offence, and gave them the name and number of my OR. I told them in no uncertain terms that I was no longer in charge of my finances, and as such could not take any further action. I then asked that they no longer contact me about this matter as I was no longer a customer. They not only accepted this, but apologised for calling me in the first place!

What rotten so and sos. I know it's not easy but can you just ignore them from now on? Hang up the phone? Shred the letters? You have done everything you can to keep them informed. Your financial affairs are in the hands so of the OR and it is the OR's responsiblity now, there really is nothing more you can do, nor should you.
I understand how you feel, but it will get better and in the grand scheme of things this is just a hic-cup, nothing more. So try your best to put it to the back of your mind and let the OR take the strain.
Take care!0 -
Phill forward all letters to you OR . and next time they ring firmly tell them it is illegal to hasstle a bankrput for money and you will be reporting them to the relevent ombidsman . that should stop them for a whileOfficial DFW NERD 189

Itll get better ....
I still get letters from United Utilities.
Ive told their Indian collegues many many times... Id love to see them take it to court, love it ! Imagine..
Phil. Please dont worry. If it got as far as court then they have people to check if its worth taking to court, they would then do a check and find your B. Pease try let it go over your head.

Hi Phil
I know you must be furious at the actions of o2. If they call again ask them for their full name, advise them that you are recording the call then remind them that you are BR and that they actions they are taking is illeagal. Tell them that unless these cease making these calls that you will forward the recorded conversations to the relevant authorities and that you will be seeking compensation.BSC Member 59 - AD 29th March 2008

Hi Phil
I concur with the other posters that these calls have nuisance value only.
You have no longer have any obligation to O2 and if you did pay to get rid of them you would breach the conditions of your bankruptcy. What they are doing to you constitutes harassment and you should contact OFTEL.
Obviously the OR has not informed them of your bankruptcy yet and when they do the calls should stop.
In the meantime treat them as you would with any other cold caller. If you have time, string them along and wind them up - if you don't leave them on hold for half an hour, tell them to get lost or just hang up.
You are most probably being called in the first place by an auto dialler and the person on the other end doesn't even know who they are calling until you pick up and your details appear on their screen so don't get upset by thinking this a personal issue against you. Its just how the modern day debt recovery procedure works.
Don't waste your time and money sending them anything else - be assured in the knowledge that there is absolutely nothing they can do to you and react accordingly. Best of luck for the future.Money won't buy you happiness
