Hi everyone
I've just bought my first house and wanting to select the best gas & electric provider. All comparisons want old bill info and plans I was with but I don't have this as as this is the first time I've arranged this on my own and obviously in this house.
How do i best select the cheapest provider?
Thanks

First you need to register with the existing suppliers.
Have you actually looked at any comparison sites? Most (perhaps all) offer the ability to help you if you don't know your actual annual usage0 -
I have spoke to british gas who the previous owners were with to give them meter readings and register.
I have looked on various sites such as uswitch and moneysupermarket and although some allow you to leave usage parts blank, I understand it is hard to work out who the cheapest provider is if they don't know how much gas and electric I'm using0 -

What are you finding so 'hard to work out' from a list of suppliers/tariffs that are usually listed the cheapest first and indicate the expected annual savings? :huh:0 -
The quotes are worked out though due to your circumstances. I am unable to give them my circumstances.
If it was that easy, everyone would be on the same tarrif from the same cheapest supplier0 -

I suggest you give the comparison site a call.0 -
