Can anyone recommended a make of compatible ink for an Epson SX 438?

Before anyone says, Google is your friend, I know but there are so many 'types' out there it's impossible to tell which are any good.
And I've just had a mate ruin his photo printer with a batch of cheap ink (the heads are completely gummed up!).

So, can anyone running an Epson recommended the brand of ink they use and are happy with??

Thanks...

Have used inks from UKDVDR and Refresh Cartridges.

If you do a lot of printing then refillable cartridges are worth a look

jettec cartridges are always good, not the cheapest but come with a guarantee not to kill your printer
  • I've been getting mine from inkntoneruk for years and never had any problems, I have an SX235W which I think takes the same cartridges as yours. They cost about £3.03 each which saved me a fortune

    Try inkntoneruk.co.uk

bought my compatibles from ebay from a seller ink-power 3years and still going. never had a problem with my epson sx200, except for having to reinstall the drivers. nothing to do with the ink.
  • I have an SX445W and have used inks from King of Flash (via Amazon) costing £4.89 for the 4 cartridge set. These have been excellent, but I varied and ordered a cheaper set from an Amazon seller named 'Printing Pleasure'. The first cartridge installed hardly let any ink through and as I repeatedly cleaned the nozzles I used up another colour and replaced that. I now have the 2 'new' colours not printing. I hope my printer is not ruined; I have ordered King of Flash again now.
  • another one for jettec cartridges, try Ink and Media http://www.inkandmedialtd.co.uk/acatalog/Jet_Tec_Ink_Cartridges.html
I've been using them for years
