Another stars rant ...

I'm so cross. I sold a book a couple of weeks ago and offered free P&P to boost stars. I stated the delivery as 2nd class on the listing.
Just checked my stars and the buyer has trashed my despatch time stars, even though it is clearly postmark the same day as payment. I now have 4.6 instead of the previous 4.9.
I haven't sold anything for months except this book and now I'm going to ave to try and find things to sell just to increase my ratings.
I wouldn't actually do it but it is so tempting to buy a couple of her many cheap items for sale and return the favour!

If a single buyer can take you from 4.9-4.6 then I assume you are only selling two or three things a month?
Check your expanded dashboard and see if there are any lows as that is the thng that needs to be watched. Then just sell a few more bits and bobs, and your stars will go back up again.
Unfortunately sellers with only a couple of sales a month are at real risk from buyers. everyone should get in the habit of watching their expanded dashboard, see this thread:

Yeah, I've had ebay fatigue for a while, need to get motivated again! First thing I've sold in at least 6 months.
It says I have 2.63% (1) low rating.I seldom end up where I wanted to go, but almost always end up where I need to be0 -

You need to get your good stars up urgently to water down that percentage.
Get some stuff listed urgently, you want loads of bits and bobs (assuming you are a private seller then look around for anything you can afford to list at 99p). It is imperative that you get some feedback in.If you have had a 6 month break then all the good feedback is old, which means as it drops off the dasboard your percentage of poor stars will increase and you face some real issues.

I wouldn't get your hopes up but if you have proof of postage then you could try asking eBay to remove that star.0
