XBox and Wi-Fi problems

A few weeks ago, we had a power cut. My son was playing on his XBox live game at the time.
Ever since then, he keeps getting thrown off his XBox whenever someone else logs into the wi-fi. When he is at home during the day, and no one else is in the house, he says it more or less behaves perfectly, but as soon as someone else then logs in, he gets thrown off.
He is also experiencing quite bad lagging, so that he can say something into the microphone, and can then hear himself a few seconds later (he says 10 seconds, but he *is* prone to slight exaggeration at times!).
Are these two problems with his XBox connected with the power cut, or is this just likely to be coincidental.
And - can anyone suggest anything that might cure them?
Oh, and just shortly after the powercut (a week, or so, maybe?) my husband did "something" (I am no techie!!) with the firewall. He is adamant that this has nothing to do with my son's problem, but what do I know? I can't really argue with him, as I have no idea if it is or isn't connected.
TIA

From my experience , when we have had a power cut the settings on the hub sometimes have changed and need to be reset . If with BT give them a ring ( takes a while) or our broadband providerObstacles are things a person sees when he takes his eyes off his goal.0

Apparently my husband has spoken to the provider and whatever they suggested hasn't really helped.
Anyone else got any ideas on this one please?0 -

Get an Ethernet plug in adaptor , two of my boys use these as the wifi is not good for their consoles. If you want to control the time played get a timer as wellObstacles are things a person sees when he takes his eyes off his goal.0 -
