Tuesday 27th November - What small DFW things will you do today??!

When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.
But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free, or staying debt free.
Examples could be hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.
So be proud of those small steps, they really are important. :money:
Morning guys I had an absolutely rubbish day yesterday, my work is just a ridiculous place to work. I had a decision last week and told the staff. Yesterday was the team meeting and the director comes along out of the blue. At the end of the meeting one of the members of staff comes out with they don't agree with the decision and the director backs her up. It happens all of the time anything she doesn't like she goes to him and he gets involved rather than saying D is your manager go and speak to her. So undermining and also rude to deal with it in front of everyone rather than say speak to your manager. He gives me no direction and tells me to make decisions and when I do he goes against me in front of staff. So sick of working there!
Anyway so didn't get very much of my tasks complete!
Things to do today:
* all food from stores
* stick to diet
* transfer cash from bank accounts for cc2 payment into stoozing account to earn 15 days interest on it
* check onepoll
* contact sewing group and see if I can go on Weds as I didn't go yesterday
* take gas & elec meter reading & send in to supplier
* book MOT
* go to car parts shop for bolts for bumper
* start job application - this time I'm not joking any job apps I do now are going to be master pieces and get me an interview!
* check banking & cc statements
that's all I can think of! Have a great day x

Hi :wave:
Oh no that sounds like a really rubbish dayI hope today is better for you.
Yesterday I didn't spend and money and earned £40 in haircuts rather than £20 :TBut I think today will be a different story as I was up all night with the children, they were finally asleep by 5am and then I couldn't sleep so in the end I got up and have cleaned the bathroom, got the washing on, cleaned out 2 rabbit hutches and had a cup of tea and it's only 8am! Now I am exhausted and feel like going and spending all my money on chocolate.
Today-- Go and get £20 petrol that I didn't get yesterday
- Need to go to the shop and get light bulbs, milk, milk for next door to pay back what I borrowed, I've run out of fabric conditioner but am not going to get it today to save money!
- Might be meeting my friend at Costa but am going to see if she fancies Sainsburys cafe instead because it's cheaper
- Going to rhyme time a free baby group
- Might be going round a friends house later so the children can play
- Going to cook enough dinner for the next 2 nights
- Going to meal plan and do a food shop through money supermarket

Good morning everyone!
DNMS Thanks for the thread, time to stop lurking and to join! I'm sorry about your troubles at work, I know what that's like. Am trying desperately to get out of my job and am joining several agencies so I can leave and do full time agency jobs. Been doing it for 2wks during my leave and it's been stress free and I'm really enjoying it. There is however another job lined up in case that doesn't work. Had a training day yesterday so need to do a few more bits today.
LPP I'm sorry about your horrid tooth! Hope it gets better soon.
Today I will do/attempt to do:
*Make GFree Mince Pies and mini egg & bacon quiches. I cheated and bought the mince already made. Want to find a recipe and make my own next time. I love mince pies, they're my favourite thing about adopting this country as my home. We didn't eat them at home ~ Done
*Stick to my calorie allowance for the day. I'm doing 2 in 5 and today is a eat normal amount of calories to lose weight ~ Done
*Update my budget, spread sheets ~ Done
*Online banking ~ Done
*Have a NSD! ~ Done
*Do some more work on my Matt Smith cross-stitch ~ Not done ;o(
*Take meter readings and submit them ~ Not done ;o(
*Finish my online training for the agency ~ Not done ;o(
*Meal and calorie plan for the week ~ Done
*Prepare kitchen and lounge for tomorrow. Having new windows put in. Am dreading the mess and need to clear the area for the guys to do the work ~ Done
*Do surveys ~ Not done ;o(
That's quite a list to be getting on with! lol
Have a great day everyone!
Cheers
