Cover for when you cannot work due to illness.
I dont think you can get cover for days you just dont have any work.
Everyone would become a builder take out insurance and never work again.

There is income protection or phi which will pay you an income if your off work due to ill health.
As a builder you will be in the highest class (ie the most expensive) and if you are looking for something that will pay after just a couple of days off, it will be extremely expensive.
It might be worth seeing a mortgage or financial advisor to get you some quotes, but dont expect it to be cheap. They can look at ammending the amount of benefit and/or extend the term where it begins to pay out to a later date.
However if your constantly off work due to ill health at the minute then they may not cover that paticular illness.I am a Mortgage AdviserYou should note that this site doesn't check my status as a mortgage adviser, so you need to take my word for it.
