  • If you have on-line banking then it should throw up the details automatically when you setup a recipient. At least it does with the Halifax:-

CHILD SUPPORT AGENCY (Sort code: 40-34-18, Account number: 41775448)

    Also search these forums.

    good luck

  • Thank you ,romanempire,we are querying 'arrears' & need to be more in control of what they take !We need to have enough to pay our bills and feed our child,if they take too much( & eventuallyhave to give some back) its not going to help us at this moment !The payment schedule they sent was alarming to say the least !We have been compliant all along but nobody seems to listen!
  • Cally Smart you do right to limit there access to your money.Smart move, and I feel your pain totally, they are a law unto themselves.I found myself in arrears thanks to there constant bungling of my account (I involved my MP,and eventually they awarded me £100 compo for misadministration)
I was ready for slitting my wrists at one point, there was no empathy,no understanding,no anything, even tho the errors were totally on there side, and as you have said,I was completely compliant to.There attitude was quit whining, pay up.The end.
You could be living in a ditch, they dont give a s**t as long as your paying up.
Anyway,iv recently had a phone call asking me to come off Standing order, and on to Direct Debit as this was there new policy. No chance I told em,and eventually,I hung up.This was a few months ago,and iv heard nowt since so WIN :j:j
There is no way on earth I will let these clowns just take what they want when they want because if I had been on DD in the past, they would have wiped me out! And remember, these were there errors!
Heres a tip,if it comes to that I am forced onto DD,then fine,I will open up a completly new and seperate bank account just for CSA,where there wont be a penny more in than what they are due.

I have no faith in this outfit whatsoever, and Im a totally compliant NRP! Thats the trouble,we are an easy target, sitting ducks, because we pay up and dont cause trouble, its easy to squeeze more out of us to hit there targets, than to chase deadbeats,it makes my blood boil,a scumbag deadbeat "dad" on my road has 3 kids which he has never paid a penny for for years! Because he moves house, dosent answer letters, etc, basically, they leave him alone, but when your complaint, your harrased to death,as I was! Grrr :mad:
  • £100 wasn't much to compensate you for all the stress, really !If I had a pound for all the people not satisfied with their 'performance' I be rich indeed!nrp & pwc's as well.Although the pwc is doing very nicely & we're suffering !Our son In primary school)should have the SAME level of consideration as the 2 remaining children (at college)out of 4 we have helped bring up at the pwc's yet they've decided to take a horrendous amount 3 days before Christmas! You couldn't make it up ! You have my admiration at getting through all this stress .I feel it could put my husbands health under severe pressure.Thankfully ,this forum and people like you & kev137 have given us a lot of help & encouragement .
  • No worries, just so you know its not just you! Dont let em grind you down.Im counting down the days till i dont have to deal with these jokers anymore, and when that day comes the Champagne will come out believe me:beer:

    Good luck:)
  • If you're paying by direct debit then you're protected by the direct debit guarantee - that's where a firm has to notify you at least 14 days in advance if they're going to change the amount they take. If they don't then you can get a refund from your bank.
Standing orders can be a bit awkward for the CSA, unless they're set to weekly payments, for the full amount, with no arrears outstanding. Otherwise they don't take into account when arrears may be fully paid off, and also an NRP's collection schedule is usually slightly different in the first and twelfth month - standing orders rarely take this into account, and if the payment is even slightly under what the system expects then the case will automatically flip to debt enforcement.
  • Take care everybody - they will put you on a DEO even if you pay up on time the amounts they ask.
I suspect that everytime a new case worker is assigned to your case they are targetted to put you on DEO for no other reason than to meet their targets. (Do they get bonuses I wonder?)

Yes they get bonuses. They always look after themselves. And interest is also accrued from the time a payment comes in to when they send it to the PWC.

Everyone should set up a weekly SO even if arrears ARE outstanding.

Hi, new to the forums and been reading many threads with interest.

A very long story which I will post a thread for soon but just a quick question if I may??

If my OH sets ups a standing order for a token amount just while we fight with them over what they say he owes would this stop them from being able to set up a DEO?

    ;)
