I thought you still had to do a mutual cancellation on ebay to get your FVFs back?
I recently refunded a buyer who changed their mind and obviously got my paypal fees refunded (less 20p I think, but I can';t see that held anywhere) and then got buyer to agree a mutual.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. I thought thats what the op meant by cancel the transaction.
I always refund then send the buyer a cancel transaction request and point out it's to get my fees back.0 -

Sorry, yes, I've just been typing some guides on facebook for a selling page and I have got used to people thinking a seller can just cancel a transaction (there is a huge misunderstanding about ebay and paypal among the casual user )
OP, as long as you do a mutual to cancel then yes you get your FVFs back and a relist credit as long as it was a standard auction.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. Something to add to this, once fees have been refunded as a credit, is there a way to get them refunded back to your bank or via Paypal? I have £4 in credit on my seller account after a gig I sold a ticket for was cancelled and had to refund my buyer.0
