New Front Door - Rockdoor or steel?

After being burgled last week I'm in need of a new front door. The insurance company have said that I can have the money that a like for like replacement would be and can source my own door.

A considerable force was used to gain entry - the locksmith who attended said he'd not seen a door this bad in the seven years he's being doing the job, so I'm keen to replace it with a strong as door as possible

I've seen that Rockdoors seem to get good reviews - does anyone have any comments on just how secure they might be?

Or would a full steel door/frame be a significant upgrade? There seems to be a few people around who fit steel doors at similar prices. These guys (sorry, can't post links) quoted me £1,600 + VAT. Which to be honest, I'm prepared to pay, solely for the piece of mind it will bring. Fortunately a neighbour spotted we'd been broken into and called my wife. Otherwise it would have been my 11 year daughter who would have discovered it - that was the one day she gets home before my wife and I'm so glad she hasn't had to deal with that

Steel doors are safest door for external perpose. Steel filling increase the rigidity of the pieces of steel. A superior polyurethane core insulates to stop heat and cold from coming through the metal and into your home. So steel doors are best among all.

I replaced my front and back doors with Rockdoors about 3 years ago and it was money well spent. They looked great and were extremely strong. As an added bonus, neighbours commented on how nice they were and since went on to upgrade theirs! We have since moved house and as soon as we can afford to do so, we shall be replacing our doors with Rockdoors. I think we paid around £1100 + VAT per door.
