Microwavable paint

We have a Daweoo microwave its around 16 months old. Paint has started to come off and flake in the area where the plastic swivel thing goes around that holds the glass plate.

I looked at some paint you can get for appliances not sure of this would do or not. The colour is a dark grey.

Anyone tried paint in a microwave?

I did, can't remember exactly what paint I used now but it was some little pot designed for using on metal or something. Microwave was no good without it so figured what was the harm in trying! Gave us a few months extra use before it just stopped heating anything, anyway.

Thanks never had this problem before had 3 microwave in many years and this is first one that gone this way. I only got it because it looks fancy red colour on outside
