  • Trying hard not to suggest you lock the toilet door and tell your dh to start going outside in the rain, has this problem started with the worsening of the already bad weather? Cats trying to dig up soil to go to the loo when the ground is waterlogged is no fun.

Can you make the cat a nice sheltered dry patch outside?

When you say tom, is he neutered?

Your DH (neutered or not :P) is out of order - poor cat needs a litter tray.

Lazy? What a silly comment..... Poor cat gets to the door - he may be scared to go outside, something may have freaked him out, he needs a loo indoors.
